PayFast is a great solution for e-commerce start-ups because you only pay per transaction with no monthly fees. One of the major benefits is that it does not require an internet merchant account to be setup.

There are no setup fees, which makes it an affordable option for smaller businesses. Visa, Mastercard, Direct EFT, Zapper, SCode and Mobicred are accepted.

What will it cost?

No Monthly Fees

Only pay a small transaction fee when you make a sale. No monthly, setup or hidden fees. Every time you accept a payment, we charge an all-in fee for each successfully completed transaction. Because we charge per transaction, you only ever pay for what you use. There is no setup, monthly or hidden fees; you don’t even need a merchant bank account to get paid.

Flat pay out fee

Each time you request money to be sent from your PayFast account to your bank account, we charge a pay-out fee of R8.70 excluding VAT, regardless of the value of the pay-out.

Merchant refund

You can quickly and conveniently refund your customers who paid using credit/cheque cards and Instant EFTs via the dashboard. All other refunds can be processed by contacting our Support Team. As from 1 October 2020, each refund will have a fee of R2.00 excluding VAT.
